The Signs are the Signal
Emma Hedditch in YNKB
On the street in front of the large window at YNKB, we formed half
a circle around Emma, as she read aloud a text of hers.
Afterwards we entered the room. Here, we helped each other to cover
the window with fabrics and bedsheets, which people had been asked
to bring. The room became quite dark, and as projection on the white
wall, she showed images and film-excerpts. In between she read aloud
more textpieces. The different elements was a mix between her own
work and others'.
Previously we had broadcasted two films from the women film-archive
Cinenova, in collaboration with SeSeTV (part of a local, alternative
tv-station). These films we had asked Emma Hedditch to choose and
send for us.
Emmas visit in YNKB also figured in the program of this year's queer
festival.
